The glamorous life through the eyes of a cab driver – favorite for the top position
The picked fruits from the tree of human existence have shriveled on the aged branches of some foolish choices derived from the trunk of forms of governance that eroded our happiness along the ages, at the roots of which, in a dark burrow, take shelter the worms of selfish ambitions and the hidden secret of inability. The seed of long term objectives will never find endless resources in the arid soil of results characterized by suffering and cruelty. Fire and the wheel have stayed since the beginning as inventions of anonymous authors with various implications in society, but were ignored and the many lessons that followed: not to toy with the fire of supremacy and not to forget that the wheel of history turns still leaving wide marks.
What are some desires of human existence?
Being fundamental values, unchanging, priceless, eternal, like a chorus reminded in the song of time from ancient times, in the composition which history has written with the pen the verses of the ages, man succeeded to change only the musical background, but in the scenario of life they are found as an integral part: family, happiness, health, achievements, friendships, dwellings, knowledge, education, peace, freedom, leadership. In a metropolis of human reality, these moral institutions became once topics of meditation, other times conflicts of opinion, at one point matters of change in legislation, but they became in the present, sadly many times, museum pieces admired with nostalgia.
Do we want to be led or is it a need?
While independence may be a play that has hidden risks, absolute independence is an ideal filled with hot air that exceeds our limits.from a helmsman on a cruise ship to an executive, from a pilot surveying the atmosphere with a remarcable speed to a doctor that coordinates his team to save a life in danger, we decide to leave our lives in the hands of some trained people trusting in the succes of their mission, although they did not present exceptions, human errors derived from the negligence to which they did their part, or from ignoring some warning signs, sometimes also from the desire to have control over people, or the harsh race for prestige, has culminated with tragedies impossible to forget. Moving from a natural need, continuing with the desire to seek a competent leadership, we struck not a few times the wall of disappointment, injuring our hope, bandaged with a few momentary promises.
What are the cracks of a limited leadership?
The cracks contribute to a visual disconfort, but in time diminshes the resistance any foundation. The affected immune system of a governance characterised by intolerance and dictatorship allows the seepage of discontent and riots just as those in which abounds in laxity with the fruits that influence the behaviour of those with modern visions. Is the decline of society just a matter of time?
What is limiting?
External and internal factors. Any strong organism, however too tired or too sure of itself, may represent an easy prey in the face of microscopic enemies that work together. Good projects started once without ever being finished, radical changes implemented without being experimented, not taking responsibility for erroneous decisions by hiding the truth due to legal repercusions, all these place a burden on progress.
What does history say?
The past admonishes, yells, but it doesn’t force. History was written, but its too little understood, or considered. Wasted time is kept under the key of silence in a safe shielded by uncertainty and mistery, not with the purpose of giving value, but maintaining of an apparently accepted order out of habit. The slogan” don’t trouble the waters if there is no wind” freezes any initiative less wanted by those who don’t want their comfort perturbed.
Is there an alternative regarding leadership?
If the entire humanity would be a single family, who would be capable of leading it? If all people would speak the same language, what would it be? Who can understand and wishes to keep in mind humanity’s ideals? Who can never and in no way be corrupt? Wh would be capable, not/to repair the cracks of the forms of governance displayed up until the present, and bring a new start? Who can replace them with perspectives on a time indefinite? Would there be a need for borders? Who finds delight in knowing personally their subjects, no matter the race and skill?
The answer implies many arguments. It’s not complex, but also not simplistic. It may be taken in consideration, or not. Because it is a trustworthy source, the oldest book of humanity may offer at least a clue. In a plastic but meaningful description, is a character with wonderful qualities, wanted in any person that claims to be a leader. Not just having authority, and decision making power, but also having discernment and impartiality, not just careful to the needs of those marginalized, but impartial and attentive to any injustice: wisdom and… understanding… knowledge… He will not judge by what appears to his eyes, Nor reprove simply according to what his ears hear. He will judge the lowly with fairness…
What is the top position?
It is not accessible to anyone due to implications that characterise it, it is not voted, but assigned on different criteria from those promoted in a regular way. The top position is the one least considered. And it’s not in spite of it’s uses, but because of the truth that we can’t obtain it. Then we should ask ourselves: should we aim for the top position or should we support the one already assigned?
